The Woodland Trust 2018 Tree of the Year contest in the United Kingdom aims to promote the value and protection of trees. The British public voted for their favourite tree in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland through the BBC show, The One. Now voters have until 24 October 2018 to select one of the four trees to represent UK in the European Tree of the Year competition in February 2019.
England winner: A beech tree called Nellie's Tree (or The Love Tree) in Abeford, Leeds.
