Sports Forum weekend in Paris

Two days of demonstrations, discussions, and introductions, open to all ages and levels brought a vast variety of sports, in one location, to the people of Paris.

The traditional annual Sports Forum was held on 6 and 7 September 2025 in the 15^tharrondissement in Paris with information stands at the Town Hall on Saturday, and demonstrations and open workshops at the sports facilities on Sunday.

On Saturday, at the Town Hall of the 15^th arrondissement and on Sunday, September at the arrondissement's sports centres, more than 120 associations were present to introduce people to their sports during the Sports Forum.

Supported by deputy mayor in charge of sports, and the district councilor in charge of sports, the Sports Forum was the ideal location to find an activity, meet sports instructors, and register for the season.

The acacia thorn trees of Kenya

There are nearly 800 species of acacia trees in the world, and most don’t have thorns. The famous "whistling thorn tree" and the Umbrella Thorn tree of Kenya are species of acacia that do have thorns, or spines. Giraffes and other herbivores normally eat thorny acacia foliage, but leave the whistling thorn alone. Usually spines are no deterrent to giraffes. Sister cities discussed: Canberra and Islamabad

Two months ago, in March 2015, Australia and Pakistan agreed to explore ways to deepen ties. The relationship between Australia and Pakistan has been strong for decades, and the two countries continue to keep dialogues open. The annual bilateral discussions were held in Australia in March to continue engagements on a wide range of matters of mutual interest. The Pakistan delegation discussed points of interest will include sports, agriculture, economic growth, trade, border protection, business, and education.
