Adelaide
Fringe 2014 is an annual arts festival that runs for four weeks in the capital
of South Australia in February and March. The open-access Fringe Festival means
that anyone with a show, exhibition, or cultural event can register to be part
of Australia’s largest arts festival. It occurs from February 14 to March 16,
2014.
Artists
from around the globe perform in over 900 diverse events – cabaret, comedy,
circus, dance, film, theatre, puppetry, music, and visual arts – in an even
more diverse range of venues, from parks, warehouses, laneways, hotels, cafes,
galleries, music halls, and streets. Events are both ticketed (with a cost
involved) and free.
In
addition to the Adelaide Fringe Festival is the Barossa Fringe in the wine area
of the Barossa Valley. Events will occur in Barossa Chateaux, cellars,
galleries, markets, hotels, and open spaces. Thirty Fringe events will be held
in more than 20 venues.
