A full moon, blood moon, total lunar eclipse occurred on 27 July 2018, and it was the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century. It lasted for one hour and 43 minutes.
From Tbilisi, Georgia, it began near midnight at 11:49 pm and concluded at 01:32 am. The optimal time was at 21 minutes past midnight.
The moon appeared red for the first hour or so, and the weather was overcast and cloudy, making visibility of the eclipse poor.
