Licht, Luft, Wasser, Liebe - Light, Air, Water, Love: Poems about the Faces of Life (2016, German edition) is a collection of ten poems.
Written in German, the titles of the ten short poems include: (1) A Tingling in the Belly, (2) Elixir, (3) True Love, (4) Why, Why, Why, (5) Love, (6) The Way through the Stars, (7) Torn Love, (8) Darkness and Silence, (9) Growing Old Together, and (10) Flowers of Love.
The poems are about walking through life every day, past many faces, but only a few of them are ever remembered. It includes images of fate and destiny, and of cursing fate. And how we lack words at important moments in our lives. The scars in life, Kane says, are important, because they prove that we have lived, and loved, the faces in our lives.
These are simple yet thought-provoking poems, evocative with the imagery of the elements in life that feed us: light, air, water, and love.
