MARTINA NICOLLS - NEWS AND UPDATES FOR DECEMBER 2020
Hello everyone,
December is upon us, and here in Paris the coronavirus pandemic lockdown continues but with a gradual easing of restrictions. From 28 November, essential and non-essential shops re-opened, and instead of the one kilometre and one hour outside rule, the government has extended the distance to within 20 kilometres and the duration up to 3 hours for exercise, shopping and essential tasks. From 15 December (pending a government review), cinemas, museums and art galleries can re-open. From 20 January, bars and restaurants can re-open. Autumn will give way to winter, but ski holidays can't resume until January.
In December, I'm taking an online wellbeing retreat related to re-wilding nature and the mind with a group of nature lovers from around the world: reconnecting with nature, conservation and preservation, and walking amongst Mother Nature daily.
Happy holidays!
Regards, Martina

MY WEBSITE: SIMILAR BUT DIFFERENT IN THE ANIMAL KINGDOM
During lockdown, I can't travel to photograph animals, so I've been reviewing my photography portfolio and identifying some species that I had not yet identified. I found some interesting photographs of two young male Masai Giraffes necking, taken when I was on safari in Masai Mara in Kenya in 2017.
