Malika Lazaar - art of hospital recovery and recycling

Visual artist Malika Lazaar is exhibiting her works –  the art of recovery and recycling in hospitals and elsewhere  – in the town hall of the 6 th  arrondissement in Paris.   Paris-based Malika Lazaar is a nurse-anaesthetist in the paediatric and gynaecological operating room at Trousseau Hospital.    She is also an art therapist and recycler – recovering all sorts of materials and recycling them into her art. She gives a second life to objects around the hospital that would otherwise be discarded. Focusing on the bright and cheerful, she repurposes and refashions them into vibrant artworks – not only to brighten the lives of the mothers and children she cares for, but for everyone who enjoys the atypical, imaginative, and innovative works she creates.   The exhibition will be held from 11 April to 5 May 2025.
