A reflective journey – French artist Bertrand Delais is exhibiting his photographic collection “Intimacy(ies)” – Intimité(s) – in the Town Hall of the 6th arrondissement in Paris from 22 March to 8 April 2025.
The exhibition is a journey to the heart of the artist’s reflections on the image. Bertrand Delais says there is first a contrast between his work as a director of historical and political films and his photographic artwork – “moving from the disquiet of the world in his films to a kind of photographic tranquility of the moment.”
He expresses that the passage from one to the other is “first and foremost that of an intimate renewal, a breath that takes several paths. To capture the tranquility of the world, suspended time prolongs the relationship with the intimate.
The exhibition is organized in partnership with the Comité des Fetes, d’action Culturelle et sociale du 6.e
