A global oceanic exploration captured photographs of the planet's marine biodiversity.
From 22 March to 20 July 2025, the perimeter railings of the Luxembourg Garden in Paris will host the open-air photography exhibition called "The Living Ocean" (L'Ocean Vivant).
The exhibition features 83 large-format photographs by nature photographers Greg Lecoeur and Olivier Anrigo. The images, displayed along the outside railings, highlight marine landscapes on land and underwater with a mix of aerial and terrestrial perspectives.
A special focus is the Mediterranean Sea, which as 25% of global marine animals in the Pelagos Sanctuary, a marine protected area dedicated to the conservation of marine mammals. "The Living Ocean" photography exhibition aims to raise awareness about marine ecosystems.
The exhibition is curated by Laurent Loiseau and supported by the City of Nice and Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur. It is part of a broader initiative, with a concurrent exhibition scheduled in Nice from 15 May to 15 September 2025, coinciding with the city’s role as host of the third United Nations Ocean Conference.
