In the middle of Freedom Square is the Liberty Monument. At it's peak is the golden statue of St George on his steed slaying a dragon. At it's base is a fountain. Opposite the metro station at Freedom Square and at the opening of the underground tunnel connecting the streets of Freedom Square is a small park with benches and flower beds.
In this city centre park is a beautifully calming fountain. It features golden lion heads and flower motifs around each section of the three-tiered goblet-shaped fountain.
The wooden benches surrounding the fountain are a welcome sight for weary city pedestrians. People sit and read, leep, or play chess in the company of the fountain and views of Freedom Square.
