The images of the Bridge of Peace, built by Italian architect Michel De Lucchi and French lighting director Philippe Martinaud, and officially opened on May 6, 2010, show the glass and iron structure. It has a 150m canopy roof of steel and glass. It is a pedestrian bridge only. Five months after the opening, it has a stark, sterile or pristine ambience about it, mainly because the landscape approaching the bridge has not been established. The bridge is best viewed from a distance, especially from the Baratashvili Bridge.
