Any full moon lunar eclipse is an interesting sight. The lunar eclipse on Friday, October 18 in Aries is also known as the “Blood Moon.”
The
October full moon represents autum in the northern hemisphere and a time of
hunting and storing food. And a time of blood red autumn leaves. Autum is a
time for trees to shed leaves to make way for new spring buds after winter. And
of course Halloween occurs on October 31 – a time for big fat pumpkins.
Next
month, on November 3, will be a new moon solar eclipse because eclipses come in
pairs, two weeks apart.
I
took these photographs at 5:00am, looking across the roof tops of Paris.
