Bosaso, Puntland - Somalia

Bosaso is a coastal city in the autonomous Puntland, northeast Somalia. Located on the Gulf of Aden in the northeast of the country it is a major seaport.

Puntland announced in 1998 that it was a self-declared autonomous state. Its name comes from the Land of Punt, an ancient Egyptian trade route.
