British Royal Mail launches postage stamps of children’s toys




British Royal Mail has launched a series of postage stamps commemorating well-known children’s toys from the past 100 years.

The postage stamps feature nostalgic designs to celebrate a century of British toy manufacturing.

The 10 stamps include (1) The Space Hopper from the 1970s and 80s, (2) Meccano created by Frank Hornby, (3) Action Man launched in 1966, (4) the Sindy doll created in the 1960s, (5) the Hornby Dublo train set, (6) the 1965 Spirograph that created geometric drawings from plastic roulette curves, (7) Stickle Bricks invented by Denys Fisher in 1969, (8) Fuzzy Felt created in 1950 by Lois Allen, (9) the Herald Trojan Warriors toy soldiers, and (10) the Merrythought teddy bear from the 1930s.
