Sweetwaters Serena Camp on
the plains of Mt Kenya, 217 kilometres north of Nairobi, and on the Equator, is a luxury tented
camp surrounding a water hole where animal feed throughout the day and evening.
In the complex is a central building with the aptly named Rhino Restaurant,
Kashoggi Bar, and the Waterhole Bar.
It is part of the private
110,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Southern Laikipia. It is one of only four
private game conservancies established in Kenya.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
also has the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and the only
chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya.
