The Senate in Paris is holding a photography exhibition on the grilled fence of the Luxembourg Garden. The exhibition, "Overseas Grandeur Nature" raises awareness of the importance of protecting and valuing ultramarine natural heritage. The exhibition is on display from 19 September 2020 to 17 January 2021.
The exhibition “Outre-Mer grandueur Nature” – Overseas Grandeur Nature comprises 80 panels of large photographers by 30 photographers.
It shows photographs of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF), and their districts: Eparses Islands, Southern Lands, and Adélie Land.
The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the history of these remote, almost inaccessible territories, and to visually portray them in their unity and in their vast geographical scale.
