French artist Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc’s is exhibiting his “Turtle Shell” artwork at the Zadkine Museum in Paris from September 2021 to February 2022. The turtle shell (carapace) by Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc (1977-) is actually titled, The Night Watchman, for Wilson Harris (2018).
In the upturned turtle carapace is gallium, a bluish-white metallic element that is hard at low temperatures but melts above room temperature and expands when frozen.
