A huge fire broke out this Thursday morning in Paris, around 5:30 am, at the Auchan supermarket, on my street, virtually next door.
Around 100 BSPP (Paris Fire Brigade) firefighters blocked off the streets for around three blocks while they attended to the fire and smoke to the nine-storey building.
Four people were treated for smoke inhalation. The fire was contained quickly with firefighters at the scene for 7-8 hours to clear the area and make it safe for neighbouring buildings and shops.
