The Eiffel Tower in Paris,
France, will undergo a major renovation costing $320 million ($423 million
Australian dollars).
The most iconic landmark of
Paris will undergo a 15-year facelift to ensure it is ready for the 2024
Olympic Games and the anticipated increase in visitors. The renovations will
include an update of security, shelter spaces, and reception areas, but also to
ensure that the Eiffel Tower can withstand another 130 years.
The renovation that visitors
will notice the most will be the thousands of new lights that will be
installed, lighting up the famous tower in the City of Lights.
