I
am currently testing my new, inexpensive Nikon CoolPix P900 camera. I want a
camera I can throw around, take on remote locations, be able to endure heat,
dust, rugged roads, and rough handling. And still take a reasonable shot.
A
friendly Black Kite (Milvus migrans migrans)
– (I’ve named him Russell) – has visited me daily in Nairobi, Kenya, for the
past few months. He is a migratory raptor that visits Nairobi between October
and March. His resident brother (named Tennyson), is the Yellow-Billed Black
Kite (Milvus migrans parasitus), who
also passes by my apartment from time to time.
