The Paris Austerlitz Train Station (Gare d’Austerlitz) was named after the famous Napoleon Bonaparte battle in Austerlitz (in the Czech Republic).
The Paris Austerlitz Station was originally built in 1840 to serve the Paris-Corbeil line. Today, it serves over 25 million rail passengers annually with routes to Orly Airport, Pontoise, Versailles, and night trains to the south of France and Spain.
