The South Australian Living Arts (SALA) Festival is held in August every year, across the state of South Australia to promote visual artists. It was established in 1998 as SALA Week and is now SALA Month. It involves over 600 venues this year, including online events.
One venue, the Port Community Arts Center, held an exhibition of local artists from August 15-22, with the theme “Just Imagine.”
My sister, Alison Powell, submitted one of her acrylic paintings on canvas in the “Just Imagine” exhibition. Her artwork is called “If trees could see” (pictured above).
