Fabian Weiss is exhibiting his works at the Tbilisi History Museum in Tbilisi from 12-18 May 2016 as part
of the Kolga Tbilisi Photo contest. The Kolga Tbilisi Photo exhibition is a
week-long event for local and international photographers. It is the largest
and most prestigious photo contest in Georgia.
Fabian Weiss is a photographer, visual storyteller, and member of the
German photo agency LAIF. His personal projects explore cultural changes in
personal structures.
His exhibition for the Kolga Tbilisi Photo 2016 is called Here To Stay. It
is an exploration of European youth and where they want their life to take
them. The answers are diverse, but always socially and politically
predetermined. They have concerns about unemployment and professional
prospects, and often for them there is a gap between school life and working
life. As a chronicler of an age of upheavals, Weiss encounters young people who
are confronting their place in the world.
The two photographs below (and the photo for the poster) were taken at a protest rally in London.
The photographs below were taken in Tiraspol, Transnistria/Moldova.
