Tbilisi’s Art Palace is holding an exhibition called ‘Shakespeare in
Georgian Theatre’ from 12-30 September 2016, about the history of Shakespeare
productions in Georgia. The exhibition is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of
William Shakespeare’s death in 1616.
On display are some interesting Shakespeare and theatre posters. For example, one poster (shown
above) is from 1964 to commemorate 400 years since his birth, while others
advertise the plays performed in Georgia. The colours red and black are prominent in all posters.
