Recipe for reindeer cupcakes

With courtesy of Lufthansa Airlines, here is their recipe for reindeer cupcakes.

Ingredients for cupcakes

240g unsalted butter (room temperature)

420g plain flour

300ml milk

2 eggs

3 teaspoons baking powder

400g caster sugar

pinch of salt

4 tablespoons (Lebkuchen) spice mix (such as cinnamon)

140g dark or milk chocolate

Ingredients for decoration

280ml whipped cream

400g dark chocolate

salted pretzels

jaffa cakes for muzzles

chocolate buttons for noses

white fondant icing

To make

Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and spices. In a separate bowl, cream the soft butter and sugar together and beat in the eggs. Add the flour mixture and milk alternately until the mixture is smooth. Fold in the pieces of chocolate.

Divide the mixture into cupcake cases – to about two-thirds full – and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (gas mark 4) for approximately 25 minutes until well risen and lightly firm to touch. Allow to cool.

For the decoration, heat the chocolate and cream in a saucepan over a low heat until the chocolate melts and then blend until smooth. Allow to cool slightly. Spread the mixture on top of the cupcakes and then conjure up a reindeer with the chocolate buttons, pretzels, fondant icing, jaffa cakes, and lots of imagination!

From a flat patch of uninteresting dirt, Rike Park in Tbilisi, Georgia, has transformed in four years (from 2014-2016) into a busy park full of trees, flower beds, sculptures, fountains, and events. The acacia thorn trees of Kenya

There are nearly 800 species of acacia trees in the world, and most don’t have thorns. The famous "whistling thorn tree" and the Umbrella Thorn tree of Kenya are species of acacia that do have thorns, or spines. Giraffes and other herbivores normally eat thorny acacia foliage, but leave the whistling thorn alone. Usually spines are no deterrent to giraffes. Hop on hop off bus tourism comes to Tbilisi, Georgia

City Sightseeing buses have arrived in Tbilisi. The iconic red double-decker buses, a feature of many cities around the world since the company was established in Seville, Spain in 1999, is now in six continents and almost 100 cities. The company established its Tbilisi business in November 2013, with its operations commencing in February 2014.
