Lofou, a
photogenic village 18 kilometres north of Limassol, is set in the side of a
hill in an amphitheatre shape. Lofos means ‘hill’ in Greek. The houses are
limestone with blue, green, or brown shutters and red terracotta roofs. The
paved roads are narrow and winding, leading to the town ‘square’ where there
are two tavernas.
