Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi and the International Project ‘ART Georgia’ presents Irma Sharikadze’s (Irma da Flore) and Khatuna Melikishvili’s (Gamrekeli Gallery) exhibition, called The Roots, in the Zurab Tsereteli Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The International Project is based on the idea of returning to heritage roots, showing the visual connection between today and eternity. The symbol of the project is the tree as a symbol of the native land, mother, life, and eternity. The photographs were taken in Kazbegi, Georgia, with Khatuna Melikishvili’s collection of Caucasian carpets. The participants include Natia Bunturi, the prima dancer of the Tbilisi Modern Ballet; dancer Tea Darchia; and model Kristi Kipshidze. The Project is supported by the Silk Factory Studio.
