The Quai Branly Museum in Paris was opened in 2006. It holds permanent exhibitions of four regions: Oceania, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
It was the initiative of former French President Jacques Chirac. The indigenous collections include artefacts, textiles, fashion, paintings and artwork.
The Americas Collection includes works from Mexico, the Amazon, Andes, the Aztecs, the Mayas, American Indians, the Arctic, and North America.
