TV Tower lights up for Lithuania

On Wednesday January 13, 2016, the Tbilisi TV Tower on Mt. Mtatsminda lit up in the colours of the Lithuanian flag – red, green, and yellow. The symbolic lights, for two hours from 7:00-9:00 pm, expressed solidarity for the Lithuanian Freedom Defenders’ Day – January 13, 1991, the day the country’s TV Tower was almost taken over in an attempted coup.
