In the Archeological Treasury
exhibition in the basement of the Georgian National Museum in Tbilisi are a
number of masks and heads. The photographs show a terracotta head and the
terracotta masks of Maenads, Ariadne, and Pan from the Sarkhene excavation site
in Georgia.
The following are
sandstone column carvings from the Kavtiskhevi excavation site, and dated to
about the 3rd century BCE.
