An exhibition of Georgian artist, Merab Abramishvili, will be on display at
the Zurab Tsereteli Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 9
March to 3 April 2016.
Merab Abramishvili (1957-2006) is a contemporary Georgian artist noted for
his fresco paintings, religious archetypical scenes, and icon techniques – as
well as a series of animals, such as the panther, leopard, hyena, giraffe, and
peacock. Curated by Baia Tsikoridze and sponsored by the Merab Abramishvili
Foundation, there are about 200 artworks on display from 1985 to 2006.
Abramishvili also depicted many trees, plants, and flowers, such as the Sunflower and the Dog-Rose below:
