In Tigoni, near Limuru,
Kenya, not far from Nairobi, is the Kiambethu Tea Farm.
After a cup of tea and
cake, in which the history of the Kiambethu Tea Farm is told, visitors hear
about the process of making tea.
Afterwards, a Kenyan
guide leads visitors into the indigenous forest. Native plants and trees have
traditional stories, and many have medicinal properties. Colobus monkeys
chatter in the tall trees, and birds are plenty.
The three-course meal
buffet lunch is prepared with vegetables from the Kiambethu Tea Farm, with
cream and milk from their Channel Island cows.
