The Symbolic Globe is the inspiration of Erik Reitzel and the Danish Ministry of Culture for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
It is 15 metres (492 feet) in diameter, and made of aluminium by Emil Nielsen Smithy.
