After the wine tunnel
tour at Winery Khareba in the Kakheti Region of Georgia, the heartland of wine
making, the next step is to tour the grounds and visit the restaurant complex.
On the estate near the
entrance is a garden with streams, small brick bridges, and fish ponds.
The wine tunnel tour
takes about half an hour. After the wine tunnel tour at Winery Khareba, there
is an elevator to the restaurant. The restaurant is on the hill above the
tunnels.
Or visitors can take a
five minute walk up the hill to the restaurant. Just before halfway along the
road is a mini drawbridge. At the top of the road, steps lead to the
restaurant, Saperavi. A feature is a man-made waterfall, and there are views
across the vineyards to the Kakheti plains.
