The Canberra Centre shopping
complex has a wall display called A Light Touch. Introduced as part of the
Englighten 2016 event, the Canberra Centre installed A Light Touch.
Centre Manager Amanda Paradiso says
A Light Touch is an immersive interactive experience that adapts and reacts to
human touch and welcomes users to manipulate lights and discover an array
colours.
“The visual spectacle is built from
a custom programmed circuit board directing LED lights to cycle through the
colour spectrum,” Amanda said. “The work has been built into a laser cut organic
frame on the Ground Level near the David Jones store of the Canberra Centre. “We’re
really looking forward to seeing people’s reactions and how they connect with
the project.”
“The tactile and interactive light
canvas will glow and change with human touch. The development of the responsive
wall incorporates computational design, light technology and interaction design
to reinvent how people can connect and communicate using light and touch.”
