The “James Joyce in Georgia” association held the Bloomsday Celebrations on 4 June 2022, instead of 16 June – the worldwide date to celebrate the Irish author’s 1922 book, Ulysses.
The change of date was due to the international conference held in Tbilisi, Georgia, at the Georgian American University (GAU) from 2-4 June 2022, called ‘Ulysses 100’ and “James Joyce in Georgia” members attending Bloomsday events in Ireland on 16 June – Dublin is the birthplace of Jame Joyce.
