The Georgian National Museum is holding an exhibition
called A Week Within Otar Ioseliani’s World as part of the 2016 International
Film Festival in Georgia (Kinovino). The exhibition of Georgian film maker and
director, Otar Ioseliani, will be held from 28 November to 4 December 2016 in
the Simon Janashia Museum within the Georgian National Museum in Tbilisi,
Georgia.
The exhibit coincides with the 50th anniversary of
Ioseliani’s film ‘Falling Leaves’ (‘Chute des feuilles’ / ‘Giorgobistve’) made
in 1966. The storyboard for the film is displayed. A storyboard is the series
of graphic illustrations that show the sequence of a film (the
pre-visualization of the movie).
The exhibition also showcases Ioseliani’s 50 drawings from
his private collection that have never been exhibited before – all
hand-illustrated by Otar Ioseliani.
Otar Ioseliani (1934-)
