The National Zoo &
Aquarium in Canberra, Australia, has three Black and White Colobus (Colobus guereza) called Chadwick (a
male), and two females called Safi and Misuka.
The Jamala Wildlife Lodge,
a luxurious hotel on the grounds of the National Zoo & Aquarium, also have
their own accommodation for three male Colobus: Colin, Colby, and Bodie. They
entertain the guests with their antics – which guests can see from the uShaka
Lodge terrace.
The Colobus, native to Africa, are black and
white with long white bushy tails. They have only four digits on each hand, which
enables them to move quickly through trees and wooden habitats.
