The National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra, Australia, has a family of five Black-Capped Capuchins (Cebus paella). They are also known as
Tufted Capuchins or Brown Capuchins. They acquired their name from Fanciscan
friars (monks) who wore black caps.
The family at the National
Zoo are called Gonzo and Monyet with their children Macaco, Gomes, and Peanut.
There are also two males called Soochi and Coco.
