Swimming with sea lions



Near Port Lincoln on Lower Eyre Peninsula in South Australia are large colonies of Australian sea lions and New Zealand fur seals, particularly around the Neptune Islands where they breed. Neptune Islands consists of North Neptune Islands and South Neptune Islands.


In addition to the sea lion colonies are sea birds, such as sea eagles, peregrine falcons, kestrels, gulls and terns. Land birds include the Cape Barren geese, plovers, parrots, swallows and quails. There are also reptiles such as skinks and western brown snakes.
