A series of war
artists are on display at The Museum of Georgia in Tbilisi as part of the ‘Georgians
in World War II’ exhibition from 26 June to 31 October 2015. The pieces include
sketches, photographs and videos on the frontline of war, as well as war
posters, artwork, and paintings. Artists include Elene Akhvlediani, Lado
Gudiashvili, Porphir Krilov, Givi Agapishvili, Andro Kandelaki, Albert
Dilbarian, Alexsander Martirosov, and Zurab Tseretelei.

is ‘Front Sketches’ (1943) by Andro Kandelaki of paper and gouache.
The oil on canvas
painting by Albert Dilbarian is entitled ‘Everything for the Front’ (1974).
The photographs below
are two paper and gouache works of Zurab Tseretlei called ‘Farewell to Soldier’
(1975) and ‘Return’ (1975).
The oil on cardboard
piece by Alexsander Martirosov is entitled ‘Old Letters’ (1983).
The oil painting by
Givi Agapishvili is entitled ‘May 9, Morning in Tbilisi’ (1985).
